Christina Joy Lohrentz, ND
Dr. Christina Joy Lohrentz is a Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Acupuncturist. Dr. Lohrentz (or Dr. CJoy as many people call her) received her medical school training from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona.
Dr. Lohrentz grew up in the small town of Wann, Oklahoma. As a child, she never dreamed that she would become a doctor. However, at the age of 18, she became very sick. After watching her ill grandparents struggle with conventional medicine, she knew she wanted something different. She prayed for an answer and God brought Dr. Taylor (ND, DC) into her life. Christina was amazed that Dr. Taylor actually listened to her story, dug deep for answers, and throughout it all, was patient, kind, loving, and compassionate. He never gave up on her and after six months, she began to feel like herself again. He truly changed her life. It was then that she realized she wanted to do what Dr. Taylor did: give people their life back! She wanted to offer people another way to see their concerns and pains: not merely as symptoms but as a way that their own body is speaking to them and wanting to be heard.
After completing medical school, Dr. Lohrentz returned to Wichita, KS (where she previously lived during her undergraduate studies) and started In JOY Wellness Clinic. She desires to listen and work along side her patients in their journey and be co-learners together. She promises to dig deep for answers, ask questions, build trust, and most of all, instill true hope. The hope that Dr. Taylor gave her, she hopes to give to others.
Dr. Lohrentz's modalities, also known as tools in her toolbox, consist of more than just prescription drugs and surgery to treat her patients. She shares her amazing abilities of Botanical Medicine (Herbs), Homeopathy, Nutritional Medicine (Whole Foods Diet/Testing for Nutritional Deficiencies), Acupuncture, Detoxification, Counseling, Prayer, IV’s to restore Nutrient Levels (referred out of office), Vitamins/Mineral Supplements, and most importantly, LOVE.
A Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.) has completed a postgraduate medical education Specializing in Primary Care Natural Medicine. Naturopathic doctors are distinct from chiropractors, osteopaths, & medical doctors. They can work with these doctors to provide a comprehensive & integrated approach to assist your body’s innate healing processes.
